Jenton Revenue Intelligence Help & Setup
This page provides support information for installing, exploring, and configuring Jenton Revenue Intelligence, the Power BI template app for Salesforce revenue reporting.
Jenton Revenue Intelligence installs with sample data so teams can review the dashboards immediately. Connecting the app to a customer’s Salesforce environment requires a Jenton implementation so field mappings, metric definitions, access, and refresh settings match the customer’s reporting model.
Before you start
- A Microsoft Power BI account is required to install and view the app.
- The AppSource installation includes sample data for preview and evaluation.
- To connect live Salesforce data, your team will need access to the relevant Salesforce objects and fields used for revenue reporting.
- Jenton configures the Salesforce connection, semantic model, metric definitions, refresh settings, and user access as part of the implementation.
Install and explore the sample app
- From Microsoft AppSource, choose to get or install Jenton Revenue Intelligence.
- Sign in with your Power BI account when prompted.
- Open the installed app in Power BI.
- Review the included sample dashboards, including executive summary, bookings, pipeline, sales, and retention views.
- Use the sample data to confirm that the reporting layout and metrics are relevant before starting the Salesforce implementation.
If you only see sample data after installation, that is expected. The live Salesforce connection is configured during the Jenton implementation.
Salesforce connection and configuration
During implementation, Jenton works with your team to connect Salesforce and align the model to your revenue definitions. Typical configuration steps include:
- Confirming Salesforce source objects and fields for accounts, opportunities, products, subscriptions, renewals, owners, segments, regions, and fiscal periods.
- Mapping your definitions for ARR, new ARR, expansion, contraction, churn, bookings, pipeline coverage, renewal rate, GRR, and NRR.
- Configuring the Power BI semantic model, relationships, measures, synonyms, and business descriptions.
- Setting refresh cadence, credentials, workspace access, and report permissions.
- Validating totals against known Salesforce, finance, or board-reporting references before go-live.
Troubleshooting
The app installed but only shows sample data
This is expected for the AppSource preview version. Contact Jenton to configure the Salesforce connection and deploy the live semantic model.
My Salesforce numbers do not match our internal reports
Revenue metrics often depend on customer-specific definitions. Jenton reviews field mappings and metric logic during implementation so the model reflects your definitions of closed-won, churn, downsell, renewals, ARR, GRR, and NRR.
Refresh or access errors appear in Power BI
Refresh and access errors usually relate to credentials, workspace permissions, gateway settings, or Salesforce access. Contact Jenton support so we can review the configuration.
